The OG1

ALWAYS READY TO GO.

The Speedvagen Ready Made program was developed to push the limits of how quickly we can make a handmade race machine for our customers. Turns out, we can get the wait down to as little as ONE WEEK. Ready Made frames are simply that – Speedvagen frames, built with all of the special touches and Speedvagen geometry that give our bikes the ride they're famous for.

Our first Ready Made model is the OG1 – our dialed workhorse race machine. Built by hand, on it’s way to you in as little as one week. It is the distillation of everything that makes a Speedvagen a Speedvagen, without compromising on performance or standard features.

OG1 frames are built and painted in small batches. Available in Matte Army Green and a range of sizes, masterfully built and race tuned with your choice of Ultegra Mechanical, or Di2 electronic. The OG1 is simply the fastest way to get a race ready machine that is made by hand.

In 2021 we are selling complete bikes only, no frame sets, no supplied parts!

The Speedvagen OG1

Speedvagen was born from our desire to keep our bikes accessible to friends and fellow racers. Clearly that caught on, and while a Custom SV is gonna give you the pinnacle of what we do, we're always finding ways to get the bikes we love under more people. The OG1 (our Original Gangster) is a beautiful, minimalist, bomb-proof race machine with a great ride, meticulously built right here in the US. The OG1 includes all of the features of our standard Speedvagen Road frame including Berzerker dropouts, integrated seatmast, superlight steel and strategically placed stainless reinforcements. Every OG1 is painted in house including Speedvagen's Ghost graphics. Select from 5 standard sizes ranging from 50cm to 58cm and one iconic color option: Matte Army Green. (2021 colors available for $350 upgrade)

Speedvagen steel is realer than real

Made from the latest technology, our new steel is to traditional steel what a Tesla is to a 60’s Ford. Speedvagen tubes are 4-6 times stronger than the tubing people typically associate with a steel bike. Because it’s stronger, it can be made lighter, resulting in a Speedvagen as light as 13lbs (6kgs) complete. Learn more about our tubing in our deep dive.

Meet the Berzerker

This dropout is our lightest and smartest to date. The Berzerker dropout is cast from a super strong steel alloy and incorporates stainless steel inner and outer faces. The use of dual materials means that we get the strength of the base metal and the protection from wear and tear offered by raw stainless.

Integrated SeatMast

The integrated seatmast makes for beautiful lines. There are a couple of things that are unique to our bikes. Each length of every Speedvagen seatmast is finished specifically for its owner. We also use stainless steel around the top of the seat tube where our post head mounts, rather than the post head wearing on a painted surface. The result is lighter and cleaner than a traditional seatpost, and the collar looks great topped with our ENVE-made Speedvagen post head.
