We share a common goal with the Fireflies: end cancer. To help you on your journey, and to commemorate the epic ride from SF to LA we have created this limited edition Fireflies Speedvagen road machine in a unique FF livery. We'll make a donation to City of Hope in the amount of $200 for each stock frame and $400 for each custom frame sold. Plus an additional $400 donation if you order a complete bike. The Fit
One of the biggest components of a custom bike from The Vanilla Workshop is the fit. Sacha has developed his own system over the last 15+ years of frame building, helping clients find the sweet spot between balance, riding position, and posture. Getting a fit by Sacha generally means a trip to Portland OR, but this year Sacha will be traveling to San Francisco & Los Angeles. We encourage Fireflies interested in custom geometry to sign up early and book their fit session.
There are limited spots available as each fit takes 2-3 hours. Spending this much time with each customer allows Sacha to understand each riders unique needs and limitations. The end result being your dream bike, perfectly tuned to your riding style.
The Design
Your custom Fireflies Speedvagen features a special edition paint scheme to commemorate your journey from SF to LA (2015 FF paint scheme is pictured here). It will be a collaboration between Sacha and each rider, and will feature "For those who suffer, we ride." motto incorporated into the design.
Each bike will have the option for a painted name on the top tube. Chose a nickname, your full name or the name of a loved one to which you'll dedicate your ride.
Next chose stock or custom geometry and decide on additional optional upgrades like electronic group integration, hydraulic disc brakes or our custom Enve carbon seatpost upgrade. Additional charges will apply for optional features.
Finally select your build kit and component group from the list below. We've put together a great build kit with our partners, or we can completely customize the build to suit your needs.

We've rallied the support of our amazing Speedvagen Family Racing sponsors and partners to provide specially priced build kits. We recommend ordering complete bikes as opposed to frames, as every step of the process from fit to finish can be done under the roof of The Vanilla Workshop. That way, every detail of your dream bike will be handled in house... and the support of our parnters means we can donate another $400 to the City Of Hope!
